Dragonball The Movie The Game

Like most big Hollywood movies, the makers of the Dragonball flick are planning a video game... based on the movie. But there are already tons of good Dragonball games that are, you know, based on the anime/manga. Regardless! Twentieth Century Fox has a new Senior Vice President of New Media Licensing who's drawing up a list of Fox flicks that could turn into video games. Included in that list is apparently movies like the upcoming Avatar from James Cameron along with Dragonball from some dude. If you think actor Justin Chatwin looks strange as Goku just wait until he's mocap'd for your 3D gaming pleasure.

@-Scrixx-: If you like a B-movie once in a while, DOA wasn't bad. It was cheesy and over the top, but who would expect a serious movie to be made from that game? It's not the kind of thing that you pay to see in the theater, but you can get the DVD from Netflix.
I think it's just one of those things that it's cool to hate. Now if you want a bad movie that's also boring to boot, check out Speed Racer.

Ugh I've been loathing this movie since I first heard of it, even if a couple of guys I know went down to Durango and became extras, still gonna suck. War of the Worlds was on TV last night, made me feel even worse about this. Yep, the first trailer or teaser is coming out with the Max Payne movie, come October 24 a million voices will cringe simultaneously (yep, the Jedi are gonna feel this one...)

this movie looks so terrible.... It doesn't even resemble the series... like... at all... Since when was Goku a white suburban kid?

The trailers supposedly coming out this month, am I correct? If so, I will reserve judgment until it comes out.
Until then, I will hope for something good, but expect quite possibly the worst movie ever next to Dead or Alive.

@Spartan1308™: I have to disagree on the DOA thing. The movie was exactly what I expected to be made based on the game, and it was quite enjoyable, for me. It was stupid, yes, but fun nonetheless.

The main census I feel sorry for is the designated hardcore Dragon Ball Z fans out there. I mean this must be like slow, painful TORTURE to see one of your most cherished things you hold so close and dear to you be SHATTERED and RAPED by none other than Hollywood. Not only do they just have to make a movie on the classic anime, but they need to flood the gaming market with yet another craptastic re-iteration of a vomit-induced movie based game based off of an anime. So sad, but yet so degradingly true.

Dragon Ball series is my all time favorite manga.
I read them since the 80s...
Other than manga, other medias just don't live up to its greatness.
disappointing moments...
- American voice acting for Vegita (initially)
- DBZ anime itself (all they do is shake and tremble)
- Nudity edited out from original DB. (Joke is never the same without nudity.)
- Late 80s Korean Live-Action movie adaptation of original Dragon Ball. (Yes, it's been done already in other countries and it sucked Dragon's Balls)
- Lame production photos of this dragonshit movie that Hollywood is bound to create nightmares for kids.

@Spartan1308™: Speed Racer wasn't that bad a movie. It's definitely a family'ish movie. It was enjoyable. I've never seen Dead of Alive movie, however.
