Yup, Gouken's in the game. You have to unlock him, but he's in the game. Below, some new screens of the old man in action, giving Ryu not only a taste of the back of his hand, but a taste of his...inky leg as well. Ewww.

I am gonna use this character a lot, he is a mix of Street Fighter III Ryu and Akuma which is a fucking kick ass mix!

Now what I want to know is if he'll be playable eventually. Seems likely as they did it with a special unlock for Akuma (too bad for those arcades in the US though).
Anyway, glad to see someone got a video to show that in this guy could be a huge menace in the hands of a pro. I wonder if anyone else is left hidden or if we'll be seeing the console exclusives next.

@Scott_L: I played Street Fighter 4 the other day. Abel isn't popular because of his design. He is popular because of his moves.
He has extremely high priority on his moves and the new block/cancel system allows for him to grab easily.
That easily puts him in the top tier. He is a menace and hard to beat. I still kicked the crap out of a scrub using him with Sagat though... dunno how he will handle against a pro though.
I agree with you: more characters. But not more characters LIKE him.

I really can't wait for this game. This is the first game that I have preordered in quite a while. I am actually doing the collectors edition of the game. I don't even know what they are bundling with the CE, but I still preordered it anyway.

@Scott_L: You missed my point. Players will play with whatever character is top tier or considered powerful.
Or exploitable (which he isn't but I wanted to say cheap a few times due to my inexperience in the game). You claim Capcom needs to include more realistic martial art type characters based on his popularity.
However his popularity comes from his power, not his character design. Really... he is by far the worst looking by design of the new characters. He is plain and uninteresting. At the arcade it was boring to watch him fight compared to Rufus, C Viper, and El Fuerte (though it was cool watching him do his super, his eyes go crazy).
He really is just a stock 'tough guy'. Nothing more.
But if you like him thats fine. But don't confuse popularity based on character design versus popularity based on tier status.

He has arms he freaking size of Cole from Gears of War.
For some reason, I allways pictured ruy and ken's master as someone more... physically moderate even though still badass, a la akuma.
