I don't think this will make anybody change the version of the game they're getting. I was surprised how little pull Vader had in SC IV. I was really thinking the PS3 version at least had a shot at outselling the 360 one.

My original thought would be, black is awesome. But after looking at both suits for a while i'm now thinking the 360 suit looks far superior. With all the dross recently (see Force Unleashed) im rather tempted to get Dead Space, seems to have crept under the radar in a lot of gamer's eyes but does look pretty impressive.

I see what EA is doing here, they're trying to make it look like they spent time developing for both platform when the only difference is the outfit. Game don't play any better or worse on either platform. It probably looks and play the same. Many people would say that's a good thing, but I still think the ps3 can do a lot better than the 360 if developers would try a little harder.

Simply sidle up to a color in the environment that you like and save it to memory (I suppose a 360 memory card would be sufficient). Though a white surface (even a blood-spattered, dingy one) would be difficult to find in Dead Space's decidedly rusty environs...

Never said they were blameless either. They do plenty of things wrong, like including pony DRM...though the Rock Band DLC code gives me hope for the future on this point too, more carrot less stick.

The fact that EA are spotting areas where they would previously have bent over their customers and are deciding not to is a good thing. Especially when it comes as a direct response to customer feedback. I personally think it's a direction that other companies should be looking in.

well, they BOTH suck. the design is entirely too much like the standard suit to make much difference. and the color scheme of the playstation one looks almost just like the standard suit- while the 360 one looks like a giant space mummy filled with glowing radioactive urine... interesting, but gross :(

I have to get it on the 360, but I have to say that I do prefer the look of that suit anyway. Detail is too hard to manke out on an all-black surface. With the white one, I get a clearer picture of what the suit actually looks like - not a drudgy, black mess.

The blue glow on the PS3 one is cool, though :)
