Here Are Your New Street Fighter IV Screens

Where there's a will, there's certainly a way to play Street Fighter IV. Some lucky folks may be able to find an arcade around their area. You can head over to Japan like Crecente and crew and get beaten by someone who probably hasn't left the arcade since the game came out. Or you can spend thousands of dollars and rig up a Taito Type X2 to your TV. However, for us in North America, our options at this point are at best, limited. So while we wait anxiously for our console release next year, enjoy these screens after the break.

@bfwings55: I can't wait for this game.. Seriously. I bought Street Fighter III 3rd Strike in anticipation. My penis grows at the thought.. eager.. soft yet powerful fighters take their place in the world of Street Fighter IV!!

For any current doubters, the game is absolutely amazing when played in person. I made the 45 min drive to the ONLY location in my state to the play and it's @#$@$ AWESOME.

At first this game looked boring and with no fun factor but after watching the demo it kinda remind me of the old days playing with street fighter arcades.Good stuff.

I cannot wait for this game as I never been interested in any 3d fighting games a la Tekken, Soul Caliber etc.
You can't beat the SF2 mechanic!

Doesn't make sense to add sakura, since she is a mother in the timeline or at least grown up, should at least gave her a new outfit that goes with her new age.

Am I happy to see Sakura! She's been my favorite of the Ryu clones since Alpha 3. Can't live without her chargeable hadoken.

I just so happened to walk by the arcade inside the UCLA student union and I noticed that they had two SF4 arcade cabinets.
Upon closer inspection there appeared to only be one joystick per cabinet and the two players were fighting different CPU opponents. I'm assuming the cabinets are SUPPORT linked play...but it just seemed really retarded that they weren't actually playing each other. Who goes to the arcade to play single player fighting games these days? :\

I played SF4 at San Jose State University, really fun. It feels like SF 2.5.

@henhowc: Yeah, they are linked for sure. I got my ass beat several times a couple days ago. From the few times I played, (because it's 75 cents a game now ><) it's shaping up to be great. Looks fantastic, too.

@FrigidAir44: Well Street Fighter 4 takes place a year after SF2 and 4/5 years after SF Alpha 3 so technically Sakura should be at the age of 20/21

@Zegridathes: the game looks fucking great in motion. when i finally bestowed my eyes upon the sf4 cabinet, people at the arcade were getting boners just thinking about when this comes home to the consoles. the art style is influenced by watercolor meets anime, it s a beautiful blend.
this is what kids on the net call: DAY 1 PURCHASE!

@bfwings55: tatsunoko v capcom faces the same problem as the super robot wars games, licensing hell. the only way we will ever get to play it is via an imported copy.
on topic: holy crap. do want. loving the ink effect and the fact that sakura was added makes me squee with joy, thats two for three from my cvs2 team and seeing as my third was snk that's as good as its going to get.
