There are many types of creepy. There is, for instance, the zipper-chested Sackboy creepy, the kind that gives you nightmares of creeping death and knit intestines. Then you have Were creepy, the glaring, overly happy, spring in your step kind that makes you wonder whose intestines this particular bit of anthropomorphic IP just choked down to get so happy.

I'm sorry, but I disagree. That costume is absolutely WIKKID! If only I had that suit... I could do some great things! TERRIBLE things... but great nonetheless!

@Eltigro: From someone who's had to wear a costume like that and escort many people in that, it's both to fend off people that will hurt him/her and help him/her walk. You can sweat balls in that costume and not be able to see due to the perspiration.

@Eltigro: And on top of what JackiJinx already mentioned -- since the performer wouldn't be allowed to speak, the escort, as a company rep, can answer any questions that visitors might have about the character, the game, or the company; or help the character with any needed props; or help any visitors take photos with the character, etc.
And other miscellaneous stuff too off the show floor, too: because that costume seems to incorporate arm extensions, the performer won't be able to get in and out of costume by herself/himself.
