Meet Capcom's Crowd Ranchers

As we showed you yesterday, Capcom's booth at TGS has been going bananas. So much so that they've got booth boys running a unique form of crowd control. In case you can't make it out, the kid's holding a long, thick rope. And there are 15 more kids like him. They're crowd ranchers. As I took this, I could swear I heard a "YAH!", and the crack of a whip, as 1000 wide-eyed Japanese teenagers were herded - by the shuffling rope boys - into a pen and forced to watch Monster Hunter 3 trailers over and over and over.

Thats not unique at all... I tot they did this as a method of crowd control is almost all Expo events like this...
even TAF(TOkyo Anime Festival) uses the same tactics... to prevent more from entering the area...

This is the 2nd TGS article where I've misread something as Monster Rancher. I keep setting myself up for disappointment.
Pretty ridiculous though, they really love them some Monster Hunter. I know I would rather be checking out some other games while there.

K title is misleading then. They're trying to keep people out then? Seems kinda ineffective, push down on the control pad to duck the rope. Hold R1 while ducking to execute a roll.

I re-read the post twice, hoping a hilarious remark about teenagers holding onto their long, thick ropes would spring forth.

Oh man, how I loved Monster Rancher 2. I think I went through every album, single, game discs in my entire house to see what monsters it would bring up. Good fun.

I like how there's that one guy in focus, and the rest are all blurred. Just reminds me of Hiro Nakamura's time stopping abilities...

Whats wrong about watching monster hunter 3 trailers over and over? Iam watching one right now....wel hearing cause I love the music.

I remember at E3 almost getting into fist fights with the rude ushers who would constantly harass anybody who even paused in an aisle. I understand it's their job but a little bit of human decensy would have prevented me from acting like an asshole back at them.
I can't imagine how pissed off i'd be if somebody tried to "herd" me in.
