Rumour: Sega Drops Silicon Knights' Unannounced Game

The newest issue of US mag EGM, the one with Watchmen's Rorschach on the cover, contains a rumour that the unannounced game that Eternal Darkness and Too Human developer Silicon Knights is prepping for Sega may have to find a new home. The title is said to be looking for a new publisher but doesn't expound upon the reasoning for the alleged change.
Silicon Knights was reported to be working on a "third-person action/psychological thriller" and enjoying a long term relationship with Sega. It is also not ruling out revisiting Eternal Darkness.
We were told by Sega reps back in June to expect the unveiling of the Silicon Knights project "in the coming months" after a video, incorrectly identified to be that project, was leaked from market research firm Intellisponse.
We've contacted Sega reps to get confirmation on the rumoured change in plans.

I know a lot of people here doesn't like Too Human. I'm ok with that. I hope their hatred doesn't extend to the developers themselves as they do have the passion to make good games.
I do think they need to hire a PR person to do most of the talking or marketing as Dyack certainly has his list of haters though.
I personally liked Too Human to be honest.

Here I was, looking forward to finding out if I was going to be looking forward to this title. Now I might never know if this game that never was might never be!

Hell Yes!! Give us Eternal 2! We've waited patiently, and dammit sega if you ruin this for us, I'll never consider buying your terrible sonic games EVER again!

I'm a fan of Silicon Knights, even if Too Human was a little more ambitious than they even expected. I still think they make quality products that are interesting. Looking forward to more news on this.

I'm kinda wondering where's all the fan reaction to Eternal Darkness 2 here? I only hope SK can match probably the greatest story ever created in gaming history, and that people will even know it existed.

They better create an Eternal Darkness 2 dammit!
That was was awesome on many levels but does contain a few flaws. Biggest of all was the botching of the magick system. Instead of getting what Diablo 3 is -now- getting (and Lich King perhaps too), we got left with a meager 12 spell system, all of which were pre-determined.
Also, I'd like to see an HD version of that game :3~~~
Hopefully this won't take 25 years to be released though...come on SK, don't be stupid. MAKE ED2!

At this point, they're gonna have to do Eternal Darkness 2 JUST so people actually care about Silicon Knights again. Too Human was definitely a bust.
