It’s been a while since I was all that interested in Activision’s Bond games, but last year’s GoldenEye 007: Reloaded was a surprisingly fun roll down memory lane.
With so many James Bond films to choose from, why make another video game based on only one? GoldenEye 007: Reloaded developer Eurocom and Activision visit six different Bond flicks later this year in 007 Legends.
Be the man every woman wants and every man wants to be. While that’s a pretty cool tagline for the new Quantum of Solace I still can’t get over the fact that every Bond game since Goldeneye has been less than, well, Goldeneye. This is obviously not new news in any form or fashion, but come on people! we the gamers demand James Bond goodness! Hopefully Quantum of Solace will deliver what we’ve all been longing for.
The latest issue of EGM is hitting subscriber mailboxes now, giving them a proper first look at Street Fighter IV. But the mag’s long-running Quartermann-collected rumours are pointing to a new game from Geometry Wars and Project Gotham Racing developer Bizarre Creations. Quartermann writes that Bizarre’s new owner, Activision, may already have them hard at work on a new driving title, one set in the James Bond universe. The title could feature “a load of driving elements”, something Bizarre knows a thing or two about.
Of course, it’s Bond, so gadgetry and missile launching Aston Martins sound like a strong possibility. Bizarre sure knows shooting, too. With the twenty-second Bond picture scheduled for a 2008 release, we might hear more about this rumoured project very soon.
