Indie multiplayer shooter Hawken, which stole my heart, stuffed it in a mech then begged me to come get it back, has always attracted attention for how good it looked despite it being the product of a small studio, Adhesive Games.
With each new clip and screenshot of its indie shooter capturing the hearts and minds of mech lovers around the globe, Adhesive Games further ingratiates its growing fan base with the news that Hawken is coming in December, and it will be free-to-play.
Upcoming multiplayer shooter Hawken, which just looks fucking cool, doesn’t have a singleplayer campaign. So it doesn’t really have much of a story. What it does have, though, is a filthy dirty megalopolis/anime setting, which this moody new trailer shows off.
The mech combat genre is one that’s died off in recent years. Indie shooter Hawken is hoping to change that, and for a game being developed by a “a small independent game studio” looks absolutely amazing.
