In this gorgeous cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Ezio shows no sign of being slowed down by old age, except for the odd hallucination of the assassin that came before him. More »
In Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood our friend Ezio’s travels take him to Constantinople, heart of the Ottoman Empire, where no man’s feet need touch the floor while seated. We know he’s following in the footsteps of Assassin’s Creed‘s Altair, but why? More »
High quality fan films can enrich video game lore as much as yaoi fan fiction damages it by filling plot holes and visualising pieces of the game’s back story we only hear about in passing. More »
According to internal Ubisoft estimates, Assassin’s Creed II has sold 1.6 million units in the first week of release, 32 per cent more than the original Assassin’s Creed sold two years ago. More »
If you haven’t seen this already, it’s the TV advert currently running in Australia/New Zealand to promote Assassin’s Creed. Which officially came out today… and unofficially last week.
And yes, that’s Massive Attack’s Teardrop. It’s almost like watching the intro sequence to an episode of House. Of course, Altair has a tendency to kill people while Hugh Laurie does the opposite, but it’s two sides of the same coin as far as I’m concerned.

Yeah, the Assassin’s Creed collector’s edition comes with an Altair figure. But why stop at one? Why stop at one figure when you can have two? This is NECA’s take on Altair, the latest in their Player Select line, and he comes with working retractable wrist blades, four throwing knives, a sword and another knife. For when seven blades just isn’t enough. He’s due in November to coincide with the game’s release, and you should be able to pick him up pretty much anywhere.

A few weeks back, our good friend Cheapy D revealed that the Assassin’s Creed Collector’s Edition would include a nice little collectible Altair figure. Unfortunately, all we had at the time was a simple black and white photo. But thankfully, German website cynamite.de has gotten a nice colour photo of the whole set for us to check out, although truthfully, his outfit is mostly white anyway. I love that these collector’s editions are getting more and more elaborate. Pretty soon they’ll just come with a little game dev inside to help you through the game.
