Sony dropped Kotaku a line to let us know that something is going down on Tuesday, March 31st. Could it be the long-rumoured price cut is finally upon us?
After launching the Kotaku review template last year, we decided to move on to the next most important aspect of judging games: Judging them before they’re finished. Most folks call them previews.
A patent application filed on October 23rd that surfaced over at NeoGAF reveals that talk of Sony creating a break-apart controller that surfaced back in July of this year might not have been as far-fetched as was originally thought. The patent is for a method by which a system could track the movement of one or more controllers, with video tracking the position of the controllers and ultrasonic frequencies used to determine their distance from the console. What this means is that two different controllers would submit data to a video input device like the PlayStation Eye, with the Eye’s microphone picking up on both the visual location and aural distance to track motion.
LittleBigPlanet Servers Are A Go…. Well at least they were working moderately well last night. Soon after booting up my Playstation 3 and starting up the game I was asked to download a 20 meg or so patch that brought my copy of LittleBigPlanet up to version 1.03. After the update I was able to connect and even publish a crap level I created. I also managed to play through some other amazing levels with friends. The only issue I had was some slow down in create mode when I tried to undo multiple accidents. Are you having any luck?
