My 13-Year-Old Baldur’s Gate Review, Enhanced Edition
When PC role-playing classic Baldur’s Gate was released in 1998, I was writing for a small gaming news site called Videogamers.com. BioWare’s masterpiece was my first official PC game review. While Videogamers.com is long gone, the magical Internet Wayback Machine houses an archived version of the review, at least until I figure out a way to erase it.

Fourteen years later, Baldur’s Gate is back. Today marks the release of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, a touched-up port of the iconic RPG with some new characters, features and enhancements. Here’s a trailer for the upcoming remake of one of the greatest RPGs ever made. After some big delays, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition should be out next Wednesday for PC(and somewhere around then for iPad as well).
New Character, Story DLC Planned For Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition
The upcoming rerelease of Baldur’s Gate will get its own paid DLC. Director Trent Oster tweeted the news last night, specifying that the team will sell new quests and NPCs as part of future content for the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, which will be released on PC, Mac, and iPad later this winter.
