Kotakuite and Dallas local Isaiah writes to point out that a local bar in Addison (a north Dallas suburb) is now hosting weekly Wii nights on Tuesdays. Not only does the Blackfinn bar like to get their Wii on, they advertise the night with a bit of cheek: Real Men Wii Standing Up.

You can’t have a highly successful gaming convention without the competition showing up to hawk their own ghettoised version of your event, especially when you’re a show as big as PAX. Not only were E for All reps there handing out glow sticks, further strengthening the link with raver culture we thought we were kidding about, but the Seattle convention received a special visit from VGXPO executive director Ed Fleming, the very figure of grace and charm. According to the PA folks, Fleming was on hand posing as a member of the press, taking pictures of the exhibit halls and gaming rooms, interviewing PAX volunteers about how the show is run, and trying to sell his Philadelphia-based convention to the vendors on the show floor. Quite a piece of work, eh? Well it gets better.
Remember the bar Ashcraft posted about yesterday morning? The one that invited patrons to “COME IN & PLAY Wii w/ Mii on our 82″ BIG SCREEN”? Unfortunately, all we knew about it at the time was that it was in Hoboken, New Jersey, which while interesting, doesn’t really get our readers through the doors madly swinging Remotes in a drunken rage.
Fortunately, Nintendo was on top of things and was able to track down the bar.
