7 New Xbox 360 Bundles For Europe

Posted by Stuart Houghton at 1:40 PM on October 17, 2008

Xboxygen have published details of seven Xbox 360 bumper bundles due out in Europe before Christmas - four new ones to complement the Indiana Jones/Sega Tennis packs we posted earlier.
The original post is en francais but NeoGaf forum members have helpfully knocked out a translation (although 'Lego Indiana Jones' and 'James Bond' are apparently the same in both languages so it can't have taken them long).

Australian MGS4 PS3 Pack Up At EB Games

Australian Post Posted by Logan Booker at 1:00 PM on May 19, 2008

mgs4_ebpack.jpgThe words of SCE Australia's Managing Director not good enough for you? Then this product page over at the EB Games Australia website should be evidence enough that a MGS4 PS3 bundle is incoming.

The site says the pack will be available as of June 2008, which puts it in the same month as the release of the game. If you don't own a Playstation 3, it's not a bad way to get the game and save a few bucks in the process. It's just a shame it's not the Limited Edition.

Actually, MGS4 PS3 Bundle Is Coming To Australia

Australian Post Posted by Logan Booker at 12:00 PM on May 14, 2008

mgs4aus_small.jpgGameplayer is reporting that we will indeed be getting a Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle, contrary to the Tweaktown story from a few days ago. Looks like its retailer sources had incorrect information, despite being spot on about the GTA IV PS3 bundle.

The pack, confirmed by SCE Australia MD Michael Ephraim, will retail for $749 and hit shelves close to the release of the game. As expected, the console will be the 40GB unit.

PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle Not For Australia

Australian Post Posted by Logan Booker at 3:00 PM on May 8, 2008

According to this story on Tweaktown, we won't be getting the PS3 MGS4 bundle that was announced back in February.

Tweaktown was right on the money with the details of the GTA IV PS3 pack, so there's a good chance this news is correct also. The story mentions that the GTA IV pack did not do so well here, and theorises that this is the reason we won't be getting an MGS4 one.

UPDATE: Just clarified details of the bundle.

Australian Post Posted by Logan Booker at 2:30 PM on April 23, 2008

xbox_arcade.jpgWe got a tip a few days ago that said this bundle would be arriving shortly. No sooner did we get this whiff, online retailer dStore provided confirmation.

The pack will retail for $499.95 and include everything mentioned in the title. If you ask me, it's an excellent deal. And it could be the deal for you, as long as you're happy to play the Oz version of GTA IV.

Australian GTA IV PS3 Bundle Incoming?

Australian Post Posted by Logan Booker at 2:00 PM on April 9, 2008

Tweaktown is reporting that Australia will receive a GTA IV PS3 bundle similar to the one that Kotaku US caught wind of recently. The bundle, which includes a 40GB PS3 and a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV, will retail for $749.

This means you could grab the game for $50, taking the $699 price of a standalone 40GB unit into account. Of course, you need to firstly not own a PS3 and secondly, not own a PS3. Same point, yes, but important enough to mention twice.

Tweaktown says this info comes from a retail source, so we're on Sony and Rockstar's cases for confirmation.

What about Xbox 360 owners? Microsoft already has you covered, as long as you've pre-ordered.
