Final Fantasy’s Chocobo Theme, In Glorious Acapella

The video is a little dumb, but I really enjoy this a capella cover of Final Fantasy‘s iconic chocobo theme.

Nothing Says I Love You Like Being Stabbed With Final Fantasy Characters

Forget boxes of chocolates, flowers, and stuffed animals. Those are gifts you should be exchanging every day. No, for me, Valentine’s Day is the kind of day where you and your loved one go out and get Final Fantasy tattoos.

This Year Sees Two New DS Chocobo Games

Square Enix has announced not one new Chocobo title, but two new DS titles: Chocobo and the Magic Storybook: The Witch and the Girl and the Five Valiant Men and Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon: The Labyrinth of Forgotten Time DS Plus. The Magic Storybook is a Chocobo adventure title, while Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon DS Plus is a DS version of Wii title Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon, which was released abroad with the localised title Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon. Regarding release time windows, Magic Storybook is slated for the Winter in Japan and Mysterious Dungeon DS Plus should hit this spring. Hit the jump for very small Mysterious Dungeon DS Plus pics.

Final Fantasy’s Chocobo Goes Rubbery, Ducky

Foremost Final Fantasy fowl the Chocobo has been many things, but I’m frankly surprised it’s taken Square Enix this for it to be a suitable rubber ducky replacement, as is the Uki Uki Chocobo. The feathered friend flotation device measures 2.95″ x 3.54″ x 3.54″, according to importer National Console Support, and ships in mid-April. Uki Uki Chocobo follows the precious design style of the Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon series for the low, low price of $US 13.50.

Five bucks that Phil Harrison’s already put in for a gross. Friends and relatives should never again moan that I’m too hard shop for, for this is all one would need to make bath time fun again. That and bubbles.

Japanese Chocobo’s Dungeon Trailer Delights

Alright, all of you Final Fantasy and anime fans out there who are trying half-heartedly to learn Japanese, say it with me! “KAWAII!” It helps if you giggle, jump into the air, and clap as you exclaim it in a slightly squeaky voice. Very good! I’m beginning to worry that my life-long love of Final Fantasy was really just a life-long love of chocobos that disguised itself up until Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales came out on the DS. The tingly feeling I got as I grinned a dimple-revealing grin while watching this Japanese trailer for Chocobo’s Dungeon: Toki-Wasure no Meikyuu for the Wii only serves to confirm my fears. *violently sweeps Final Fantasy figures from bookshelf to the floor* My life is a lie!

Chocobo, Moogle Cross-Bred In Name Of Art

While her breeding practices are reckless, Virtualgirl’s craft skills are less questionable. This is her Choco-mog, a construction that takes two popular Final Fantasy species and turns them into a single, yellow piece of sculpture. Cobbled together for a school project, it took 25+ hours to make, is constructed entirely of sheet metal and rods and looks lovely. Never had to bend a piece of sheet metal to my will before, but I imagine it’s a little difficult.

My choco-mog! It is done!!! Check it out!!! Exclamation mark!!! [Dtoid]
