Oh no! Songstress Christina Aguilera hit her hand while playing the Nintendo Wii. No, no, it gets worse. She apparently bruised herself.

Showbiz Spy brings us this tragic, tragic story: “Christina loves her Wii as a fun way to do a little work out,” a source said. “Now she’s a mother, it’s perfect for her. On this one occasion she and Joel were in the middle of a particularly heated game of tennis and Christina came off a little worse for wear in a run-in with a table lamp. She has a bruised hand but is more upset that she lost the game!”

Cancel her cameo appearance on Project Runway! Christina needs some serious recovery time. She doesn’t only have a bruised hand, but a bruised heart for losing that game.

TODAY’S VERY IMPORTANT NEWS. If you read one post today, no if you read one post this month, read this about singer Christina Aguilera’s gaming interests. She tells MTV:

I’m a big gamer. I love my Nintendo DS. I love my board games. So on the road, [I play them] especially to kill time. Now, I don’t have much time, because of my little one, to play those games. I play different games now.

Her favourite game? Mario Kart DS. The neat thing isn’t that Christina Aguilera plays her DS (ho hum), but that she plays board games. Board games are awesome. Aguilera’s music, not so much.

GayGamer (actually our own Flynn) is reporting that Christina Aguilera purchased Misha’s The Last Supper and hung the piece of video game meets religion art in her baby nursery. The Last Supper was first shown at the 2006 I Am 8-Bit show. You can still pick up a hand signed and numbered print of The Last Supper (The Genie in a Baby Room Edition) over on the 1988 gallery website for $US 75.
