As I played Command & Conquer back in the day, I always did wonder what it would be like to be one of the little men on the ground, doing the bidding of the all-seeing powers in the sky. Soon we’ll all get a taste of that.
This is Renegade X, a fan game in development for over six years. It’s come quite far since then, and now, it’s just about ready to go.
No longer will Command and Conquer‘s militant “Global Liberation Army” feature generals of obvious Middle Eastern descent, once the game goes free-to-play. Polygon reports that Victory Games made the decision because some folks didn’t like the implication that Middle Easterners were a bunch of militant terrorists.
