Midway Planning “Fewer, Bigger, Better” Games In 2008

Chicago-based Midway Games hasn’t posted a profit since 1999. This year wasn’t so hot either. That may have something to do with publishing broken, puerile crap like Hour of Victory, Game Party, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am and Cruis’n. Delays for Stranglehold, Blacksite: Area 51 and Unreal Tournament III aren’t helping matters either, but it may have more to do with Midway’s close association with software diarrhea that could prevent it from returning to glory. Maybe that’s why Midway CEO David Zucker is promising that the company will produce “fewer, bigger, better” titles next year. Fewer Cruis’ns? Yes, please and thank you!

Cruis’n Is Still The Worst-Looking Wii Game Ever

Sure, the screenshots were bad. No. The screenshots were awful. But maybe, just maybe, they were rough, early shots, taken from a prototypical build and were in no way indicative of the final quality of the game. There’s always that hope, right? No. No there is not. This is everything wrong with third-party development on the Wii in one easy-to-follow 38 second clip. [via Aussie Nintendo]

Cruis’n Is The Worst-Looking Wii Game Ever

First instinct upon seeing the cover art was “no, this is not going to end well”. Now we’ve got some Cruis’n screens…this does not look like it’s going to end well. Unless this is some kind of joke (oh haha we can make a 2006 Ubisoft Wii racer too). But it’s probably not. Midway, seriously, what the fuck is this? I know that graphics aren’t everything, but…they’re still something.
