Trademark Troll Is At It Again

Edge Of Twilight Has Come A Long Way
1:20AM Mike Fahey | When I last set my non-fuzzy eyes on Fuzzyeyes’ Edge of Twilight I was a bit disappointed. After seeing the latest trailer, I am absolutely ecstatic. More »Edge Of Twilight Screens
6:20AM Stuart Houghton | Normally, whenever I see or hear the word ‘Steampunk’ (i.e. whenever I read Boing Boing) I fly into an uncontrollable rage and start Hulking Out with anguished cries of, “Arrrrgh! GET A NEW MEME YOU VICTORIANA-OBSESSED LOSERS!” But then, doesn’t everyone? Edge Of Twilight just about avoids my wrath due to the lack of any obvious fob watches or handlebar moustaches. It looks a lot less Planescape Torment than the last time we looked in its direction though, which is a little disappointing. Edge of Twilight Gallery More »
Edge Of Twilight Announced
9:30PM Luke Plunkett | Just how much steampunk can you kids handle, huh? Plenty, if two game announcements sharing the premise in the one day is anything to go by. While Damnation wears the steampunk tag a little more traditionally, Edge of Twilight, by Aussie devs Fuzzyeyes Studios, looks a lot more like a good old-fashioned fantasy game with a few bits of steam and punk thrown in because that’s what you kids are all going bonkers for these days. Your steam and your punk. They’re pegging it as a “fantasy third-person action adventure game”, and it’ll be out on PC, PS3 and 360, but won’t be out til 2009. [Edge of Twilight] More »
An Inside Look at Aussie Developer FuzzyEyes
5:15PM Logan Booker | The folks over at AustralianGamer got the chance to invade the headquarters of Oz developer FuzzyEyes. The studio is currently working on the title Edge of Twilight.
There are photos of the team’s work environment (looks like a normal office really) as well as interviews with the head dudes. Here’s a quote from the article by lead designer Andy Chrysafidis, where he describes exactly what Twilight is:
It’s an action adventure game set in a sort of steampunk-slash-alternate fantasy world that has been divided into two separate realms of day and night. The general story of it revolves around this clash and power struggle between two different races.
One, the Athern who are more industrial, steampunk, and the Lithern, who are the opposite pretty much, the more spiritual race. The player takes the role of Lex, who’s this bounty hunter who’s a half breed and thus has the ability to shift between day and night, and because of this ability is called on by the Atherns to help them in their struggle against the Lithern.
