Nintendo seems convinced that people just need to try Wii Music to be enchanted and buy the game. They're so convinced that it seems to have become a major part of their holiday push.

Denver's Child's Play Funde Razor 08 Is a Go

Posted by Brian Crecente at 1:00 AM on November 5, 2008

Good news for everyone living in the Colorado area who likes good company, good causes and fun games. I just signed a contract with the owner of The Mercury Cafe in downtown Denver for this year's Child's Play Funde Razor.

The owner of The Mercury Cafe was kind enough to donate her fantastic upstairs concert venue to us for the night. So all we'll be paying for is the services of a sound man, which is relatively inexpensive.

Bond Song Coming to Guitar Hero World Tour

Posted by Brian Crecente at 3:20 AM on November 1, 2008

Reading through a press release about the upcoming Best Buy midnight opening launch event for Quantum of Solace, I stumbled upon this interesting tidbit:

Additionally, those in line at 10:00 PM will get the exclusive opportunity to be one of the first to play the Bond song "Another Way to Die" performed by Jack White and Alicia Keys which is soon-to-be-released as downloadable content for Activision's Guitar Hero® World Tour.

I kinda like the song. It would be great if they released this as a freebie, but there's not even a hint of that, so I'll just hold my breath until they make it so. Annnnnd GO.....

Blizzard's Midnight Wrath Of The Lich King Plans

Posted by Mike Fahey at 1:40 AM on October 31, 2008

It's nearly time! With two weeks to go before the worldwide launch of the next World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard has outlined plans for midnight launch events around the globe. Four locations in the states will host Blizzard developers signing copies of the game, with increased copies of the Collector's Edition on hand for those of us (like me) who missed out on pre-ordering the big box. Unfortunately for most of us, those events are in New York, San Francisco, Anaheim, and Austin, TX. Bah. On an international level, midnight events will also be taking place in Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Taipei, and Seoul. Full details can be found at www.worldofwarcraft.com/midnight.

Posted by Stuart Houghton at 8:20 AM on October 28, 2008

Guitar Hero: World Tour was welcomed into the world this weekend in a flurry - possibly even a plethora, I'll have to double check - of publicity, flashbulbs and PR budget splurging.

Posted by Brian Crecente at 12:00 PM on October 4, 2008

That's right boys and girls, next week is the official kick off of the Tokyo Game Show. Technically the show starts on Thursday, but four of us will be safely ensconced in Tokyo come Monday to start digging stories and interviewing... well hopefully developer types.

This year's Tokyo Game Show will be brought to you by myself, Brian Ashcraft, Luke Plunkett and Michael McWhertor, with back-breaking post counts and Tower support coming from Fahey and crew.

As with past coverage we'll keep this single post updated throughout the show by category so you can bookmark it now if you want a single stop shop for all Tokyo Game Show news. See you on Monday, can't wait.

Hudson Brings Fish, Marbles, Bombs to Tokyo Game Show

Posted by Brian Crecente at 3:00 AM on October 2, 2008

Hudson Entertainment plans to pack in the Wii titles for their Tokyo Game Show showing this year, it appears.

The company says that they will have Marble Saga: Kororinpa for the Wii, Fishing Master World Tour for the Wii and Bomberman Ultra for the Playstation Network for Japan's annual game show.

I can't wait to get my hands on those virtual marbles. Def a first stop for me at TGS. Yes, that was sarcasm.
