Final Fantasy XIV Online’s standard edition is released in a couple of days. But Kotaku reader Kate, owner of a collector’s edition with 1 week’s worth of early access, hasn’t even logged in yet. Instead, she’s been busy writing about how forcing PAL regions to pay either Euros or Pounds for subscriptions effectively costs us more than if we were paying the same amount in USD.
Final Fantasy XIV’s arrival in 2010 is looking more and more likely, as Square Enix has opened up the application process for the upcoming PC and PlayStation 3 massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
Square Enix’s next Final Fantasy themed massively multiplayer online game is coming to the PlayStation 3 and PC next year. As good as Final Fantasy XIV Online looks in screen shots, its concept art may outshine it.
Final Fantasy fans were shocked and/or delighted to see the fourteenth entry in the series officially announced at Sony’s E3 2009 media briefing. Final Fantasy XIV is taking the series back online, a PlayStation 3 and PC “exclusive” MMO.
