Video giant EA, makers of Madden, Need For Speed and Battlefield (among many others) is snatching up Australia-based Firemint, creators of some of the most popular games on the iPad and iPhone, according to EA.

Firemint’s ultra-popular iPhone game, Flight Control, is also Move compatible on the Playstation 3.
Flight Control, which did very well as an app with the iPhone’s multitouch controls, is getting a release for PlayStation Move at launch. It’s also playable with the PS3′s standard controller.
Firemint, maker of Flight Control for the iPhone and iPod Touch (reviewed by Gawker boss Nick Denton in December), has announced it will bring an “optimised and re-imagined version” of that game to the iPad, announced today.
