Turok PC Pushed Pack To June: Originally slated for a May 29 release, the PC version of Touchstone’s Turok is now set for June 26, according to Funtastic’s latest schedule. No reason has been provided for the delay.
Turok PC Dated, Prepare For Dinos on May 29
It’s set to arrive many, many months after its debut on consoles, but distributor Funtastic has confirmed a May 29 release date for the prehistoric/sci-fi shooter. Or knifer, if you happen to be my brother.
I’m already quite keen to give Mass Effect another whirl when it hits PCs, because I firmly believe the platform to be the home of role-playing games. I feel the same way about first-person shooters – nothing beats a mouse and keyboard.
I’m also touching base with Funtastic to see if the PC version will have extra content over the console games. Stay tuned.
Rumour: Turok PC Delayed
We have it on good authority that the PC version of the new Turok FPS may be delayed until mid-2008.
Currently we don’t know the reasons for the potential delay, but it does explain why its release date was missing from the Funtastic schedule I received a few days ago.
We’ll let you know when there’s official word, but for now, eager gamers will have to turn to the PS3 or Xbox 360 next month to get their fill of the ever-so-manly Turok.
Turok Gets Oz Release Date
And that date is February 7, going by the Funtastic schedule that just arrived in my inbox. To the left you’ll find the Xbox 360 pack shot, though rest assured it’s coming out on PS3 and PC as well.
Except that the PC date is AWOL. I’ve dropped the PR at Funtastic an email, and hopefully we’ll have this cleared up before the end of the day.
Of course, if you have a 360 and just can’t wait two weeks, the demo is available for download right now.
Oh, It’s Just Some Turok Info
Funtastic just sent through its release schedule for the rest of the year.
Exciting, I know.
While it’s mostly booked solid with Disney games (give me a yell if you want to know when Power Rangers: Super Legends will be arriving on our shores), the last entry on the release is the new Turok. The entry provides a release date of February 2008, Xbox 360 and PS3 as launch platforms and a $99.95 price tag (which appears applicable to both consoles).
A couple of sassy screenshots after the jump.
