Why Metroid Prime Means So Much To Me

Kotaku AU

Yesterday was the 25th Anniversary of Metroid being released on the NES. So, with that in mind, I felt it was appropriate to repost this piece, a look at one of my favourite games of all time – Metroid Prime. One Hundred GameCubes Or Somebody’s Trash?

When the GameCube went on sale back in 2001, Nintendo priced the console at ¥25,000 and at $199 for the US. So if you were to purchase a hundred GameCubes back then, you’d spend a pretty penny. But what about in 2011?

Some Guy Made A Portable GameCube

Not sure why. It seems the guy wants to sell it or something. Not sure how I feel about the exposed disc drive and the ever-so-close shoulder buttons.
