Warning, a few on this list make Beat ‘Em and Eat ‘Em look like Metal Gear Solid 4. But there are some genuinely hilarious winners among a mostly despicable list of deranged NES ROM hacks.

The -Minus World swears that none of these are made up. Which is good, because No. 20 is a joke that goes over like a turd in a punchbowl. But by the same token, that means “Kiss Goes Golfing Starring Gene Simmons” (pictured) is actually real. And that’s awesome.

This gem finally answers the age old question: does Kiss don full costume when they hit the greens, or do they opt for the more conservative route and throw some plaid pants on? It’s Kiss, motherfucker, they probably go to christenings and funerals in character.

Another mostly harmless winner is Super Amish Bros. But pretty much everyone else is naked, including Bert from Sesame Street masturbating under a Batsignal moon. So let’s pop that NSFW tag right now and mean it bigtime. This isn’t for polite company at all, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Atari is bringing the Gene Simmons AXE bass guitar to Australia. It’s compatible with Guitar Hero and Rock Band and will be available in April. But what does Gene himself think about it?

“I never do anything half way. My AXE controller is the closest thing you can have to being onstage in KISS. I created and designed the Gene Simmons AXE™ bass guitar and I can’t wait for the fans to experience it for themselves”, said Gene Simmons. “The Gene Simmons AXE guitar is such a recognisable symbol – people have been asking for a gaming replica ever since Guitar Hero was first introduced.”

Apparently he says “™” when he speaks.

Here’s some more important facts about the AXE:
* It’s a three-quarter-sized replica of the KISS bassist and vocalist’s signature bass guitar
* It features Gene Simmons’ autograph and his photo in make-up painted onto the body of the controller
* It’s wireless
* It’s larger than the standard video game guitar controllers
* It works with Guitar Hero and Rock Band for Wii, PS2 and PS3, but not – strangely enough – Xbox 360

The Gene Simmons Axe Guitar features ‘ultra-responsive frets’ and an ‘analog whammy bar’ but fuck all that – this is a guitar shaped like a battleaxe as used by the guy from Kiss with the tongue and the big face who was in that film with Magnum and the killer robots. You know the one.

This beauty is compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero and seems to feature Simmons’ signature as well as a representation of his greasepainted mug, so one would assume it is an official Simmons Product. Santa, I hope you are reading this and can take a hint.
