PlayStation 3 owners, just a small reminder that come next Thursday, you’ll be able to pick up both ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Classics HD and the God of War Collection — Volume Two from whichever store-shaped entity you frequent.
If you’re a fan of God of War and missed out on the games from the series that only hit the PSP, now’s your chance to play them on the PlayStation 3. The God of War: Origins Collection hits today, bringing both God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta to the bigger screen for $US40.
The high-definition remakes of PSP God of War games Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta get a PlayStation 3 demo starting tomorrow, August 30 (for PlayStation Plus subscribers). Non-subscribers can sample God of War: Origins starting September 6. [PlayStation.blog]
The PS3 God of War: Origins Collection brings Ready at Dawns two wonderful Playstation Portable games to the PS3. But you can’t just dump them over from portable to console and expect them to look good. These games have been remastered in full HD.
As you’d expect, of course, but given many fans may have missed out on the two excellent PSP games, it’s still good news. These HD re-releases, known as The God of War Collection, will be out in September.
According to a report on Forbes, Sony will be announcing a brand new God of War title at this year’s E3, one which will be a “3D adventure”. [Forbes]
