Grand Theft Auto IV’s iCEnhancer series of mods and tweaks takes a Rockstar PC game that looked pretty good already and turns it into – relative to the scale and size of GTAIV – the prettiest video game on the planet.
Impressive Grand Theft Auto IV mods are nothing new, but this one — which turns the fictional Liberty City into a very real, very beautiful New York City — is really impressive.
We’ve seen a teaser of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City imported into Grand Theft Auto IV‘s visual and physics engine, RAGE. Another mod team is hard at work on the same conversion for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
“Interesting thing, this iCEnhancer version of the ENB mod,” reads the post on video game art site Dead End Thrills. It’s an aggressive, almost violent attempt at photorealism.”
