Xbox Live Gold subscribers can now download a demo for Guitar Hero: Van Halen featuring three songs, one of which is actually by Van Halen!
Eddie Van Halen’s performance of “Eruption” is more impressive. That’s not the question being asked. But this comparison shows the similarity of the finger work in the tapping sections, which speaks well of the design of Guitar Hero: Van Halen.
The song list for Guitar Hero: Van Halen certainly seems strong enough, but what about the spandex rendering power of the Guitar Hero expansion? Can current generation console technology keep up with David Lee Roth’s bulging air splits?
Activision has released the finalised list of songs for Guitar Hero: Van Halen, featuring 28 tunes from the David Lee Roth era of the band, not a Sammy Hagar (or Gary Cherone) vocal track in sight.
The Guitar Hero: Van Halen trailer running during E3 only showed off four members of the band. Thing is, over the course of the group’s history, there have been more than four members of the band.
Oh good. I’m not crazy. I could have sworn I saw this trailer at Activision’s E3 booth, but since it never showed up online for download/embed, figured my jetlag was playing tricks on me.
