Far Cry 3 And The Stranger In A Strange Land Indie Game: The Movie is finally getting it’s world wide release on Steam, but what if you want to see it in a cinema? Melbourne is having a showing as part of the ACMI Game Masters exhibition — but what if you live in Sydney, like me? Well, looks like someon has had the foresight to organise a showing in Sydney.
Plenty of people have emailed me asking precisely how and when they’d be able to watch Indie Game: The Movie in Australia. I had actually emailed to find out. The answer back then was ‘we’re not sure yet’. Now they know — through Steam.
I’ve been quite keen to see Indie Game: The Movie now that there is a planned showing in Melbourne at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, but there’s only one showing — if you live in Melbourne and you’re interested, I’d imagine you’ll have to move fast!

At first people thought it may have been a joke. Indie Game: The Movie — how could that possibly be a real thing? Then it was confirmed, we watched the trailer, and it looked legit. Now it’s winning awards.
How does this work then? I don’t get it. First we have Indie Game: The Movie, which is an apparently brilliant documentary focusing on developers Team Meat, Phil Fish and Jonathan Blow — now we have a sitcom, based on the movie. Sounds like the worst idea ever, but it may actually end up being pretty neat.
Big money, big production video games are great, but let’s never forget about the indie games, that’s where the sexy happens.
