The first trailer I ever saw for Resistance 3 was live-action. The most recent one I’ve seen is all stylish artwork inspired by the designs of artist Olly Moss. I usually like to see gameplay in video game trailers, but I’ll make exceptions for trailers this cool.
The new Resistance 3 Dev Diary says it’s about the game’s motion capture. And yes, for the most part, that’s true. But it also spends a fair amount of time delving into something that I feel isn’t shown nearly enough by devs in this era of AAA titles that routinely feature plots in which entire universes blow up: stunt work.
Are you, like me, still waiting for a great, modern four-player action game? I’m not talking about four-player shooters but more of a platformer. A colourful game that anyone can play?
The nondescript opening scenes of Resistance 3 seemed to me to fit the game: Everything is brown, bland, boring. But as I fight my way from Oklahoma to St Louis my take on the game changes, drastically.
