Why Robin Makes Batman Better Go ahead, smirk just like you do when you pass a display of Ubisoft’s dancing franchise games at Target or Kmart. With 25 million copies sold across six titles, odds are you secretly own a copy of Just Dance yourself.
The Just Dance series is the kind of red-hot gaming franchise that can pull in a guest character like Nintendo’s Super Mario. But who knew that such a combo would be so… colourful.
New York Comic-Con’s Just Dance 3 stage was always filled with an interesting mix of cosplayers, but these are my favorite: A dozen assassins from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed line dancing to Sugarhill Gang’s Jump On It with the help of Ubisoft’s other major hit… Just Dance.
Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Smoke and Reptile were made for loving you, baby, and you were made for loving them.
As seen at Ubisoft’s Just Dance 3 stage show. You can also get up there and try to dance with them. Something that I think will happen with much more frequency once the beer halls open later in they day.
Ubisoft is upping the Kinect dancing game ante with Just Dance 3‘s “Just Create” mode. “Just Create” lets you record your own dance moves using Kinect then challenge your friends to recreate them. You can use your custom moves to serve your friends in person or online through Facebook.
Some of us would admit to playing Just Dance in the privacy of our own homes. I’m not saying I would, mind you—certainly not on the internet. But these poor folks had to dance day after day for the duration of E3 to promote Just Dance 3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. So let’s give ‘em a round of applause. Just, no handshakes, please: they’re bound to be too gross and sweaty.
