Why Robin Makes Batman Better On a chilly afternoon this past weekend, well over 100 people waited in line in Akihabara to see Microsoft’s “Xbox 360 Kansyasai in Akiba” (Xbox 360 Festival of Thanks in Akihabara). The event was a joint effort between Microsoft and Capcom, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Japanese release of the original Xbox (February 22nd, 2002), and to promote some of the upcoming titles to the Xbox 360.
Microsoft’s using CES 2012 to talk up its best-selling motion-sensing peripheral, with its announcement of blockbuster sales and a Windows version of Kinect. Part of that push will be the recently announced Kinect Rush, the all-ages game being developed in partnership with Pixar.
The Xbox 360′s already seen the Mickey Mouse side of the Disney/Pixar character catalogue in the recently released Kinect Disneyland Adventures. Now, their corporate cousins from Pixar’s movies will be getting their own shot at motion-sensing hijinx.
