After spending months parading about multiple live-action versions of Lollipop Chainsaw heroine Juliet, the game’s marketeers dress up four models in cheerleader outfits and bad zombie makeup and have them pile on each other. I can’t believe it took this long.
Lollipop Chainsaw has two image characters: Jessica Nigri for the West and Mayu Kawamoto for Japan. Kawamoto is a black belt in karate, but Nigri has, I guess, a black belt in revealing cosplay.
In fact, said special edition doesn’t actually exist, but if it did the OFLC rating would be through the roof.
In the West, the “image character” for splatter game Lollipop Chainsaw is cosplayer Jessica Nigri. She’s great for events in America, but the commute to Japan is a little far. In Japan, the game needs a local image character, and a local is what it is going to get: American-born Japanese actress Mayu Kawamoto. Dressing as Lollipop Chainsaw’s Juliet, she appeared in the newly release promotional clip for the game. The 18 year-old is also putting in facetime at events.
Word is that Jessica Nigri, a big-time cosplayer hired to portray the protagonist of Lollipop Chainsaw, was asked to leave PAX East yesterday. Why, you ask? Oh, I don’t know. Maybe that hot pink jumpsuit with a “neckline” plunging to her crotch has something to do with it.
Cosplayer extraordinaire Jessica Nigri garnered the most votes to become the real-life version of Juliet, the arse-kicking heroine of horror action game Lollipop Chainsaw. That victory comes with responsibilities, like posing at parties during promotional events and making commercials.
Earlier this week, Kotaku attended an event for upcoming zombie game Lollipop Chainsaw. At the event, the game’s heroine, Juliet, was there in the flesh. You might know her better as cosplayer Jessica Nigri.
