As the beta for Lord of the Rings Online’s free-to-play system winds up, players who have previously subscribed will be given early access to the live game from today. For everyone else, it begins September 10th.
Starting this spring Turbine’s Lord of the Rings Online will be free to play. The game will make its money by selling thousands of “convenience” items as well as expansion packs, premium content, additional character slots, potions and character customisation. Beta kicks off on June 16.
