Mega64 Reveal The Full Extent Of LittleBigPlanet's Offensiveness

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 1:20 PM on November 18, 2008

Oh dear. We thought that the only offensive thing to be found in LittleBigPlanet was Sony's over-zealous policing of intellectual property laws. Looks like we were wrong. It gets a little more offensive than that. What's the matter, Media Molecule, sandwiches and/or burgers just too vanilla for you?

Mega64 Takes Parappa To The Streets

Posted by Mike Fahey at 6:00 AM on September 11, 2008

A person who goes into public dressed like a cartoon rapping puppy to serenade random passersby with his funky fresh beats has balls far beyond mere mortal men. If anyone is missing a pair, odds are this guy picked them up and ran off with them. One of these days one of the Mega64 boys is going to get killed, and that would be terribly sad. After all, "It's a nice day to not be in a hearse. " Tru' dat.

Mega64 Interviews Keighley With Team Crecente, N'Gai, Totilo in the Wings

Posted by Brian Crecente at 6:00 AM on June 21, 2008

True story, Stephen Totilo, N'Gai Croal and I were walking out of a taping with Geoff Keighley when Mega64 were walking in. I was going to ask for an autograph but Marcus looked like he was recovering from an all-night coke bender and was laying into the make-up artist about his hair. He stopped yelling and looked over at me and seemed to smile, I thought it was a good sign and went over to say "Hi". But when I walked up he asked me to go get him a box of cream filled doughnut holes, a tub of extra smooth peanut butter and some latex gloves. So I decided it was probably time to leave.

Mega64 Downloads Assassin's Creed

Posted by Brian Crecente at 6:00 AM on June 11, 2008

Not their best work, but it's still fun to watch the Mega64 guys trying to blend in at some sort of real world farmer's market while dressed as Altair from Assassin's Creed. The video's highlight? The failed assassination attempt on an octogenarian.

Mega64 Hit David Jaffe With The Hard-Hitting Questions

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 12:20 PM on May 17, 2008

Witness Mega64 spread their comedic wings and take a shot at interviews. Interviews with people from the videogame industry, like David Jaffe. Interviews done by Marcus, a hand-puppet with the most delightful little Tom Tucker moustache. And yes, Marcus, if you can keep the remaining five episodes this charming, we'll certainly do our best to fucking care.

Mega64 Fail To Beat SFII Bonus Round

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 1:40 PM on April 23, 2008

As a kid, deep down, you know Street Fighter II's not real. Fireballs, tiger uppercuts, sonic booms, it's all ridiculous. And yet...a small part of you holds out hope that, perhaps with the right training, perhaps with the right opponent, you could recreate at least some of Capcom's arse-kicking in real life. Here's the proof that says no. You can not.

Mega64's Independent Games Festival Clips Are Hilarious

Posted by Michael McWhertor at 1:02 PM on February 26, 2008

During the course of the handing out of awards at last week's Independent Games Festival, audiences were treated to exclusive Mega64 produced videos between acceptance speeches. They weren't the typical game parodies played out in real life, but clips that spoke to the audience on hand. The production above, shown after the intro after the jump, was my personal favourite.

For a somewhat startling, volume lowering surprise from artist Dan Paladin of Alien Hominid fame, make the jump. Just make sure the kids are out of the room.

Mega64 Does Super Mario Bros. 3

Posted by Michael McWhertor at 9:50 AM on November 1, 2007

This Mega64 clip, I swear I've seen it before. Maybe it was shown at the Game Developers Conference earlier this year, maybe it sneaked online at some point prior, or maybe I have some pre-cognitive ability to know the details of Mega64 comedy bits. Regardless, it's something the creators of this clip have labelled as new and it's Kuribo's Shoe, something I've always been fascinated by for some inexplicable reason. Please, won't you watch?
