During the VGA Awards, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima took the stage and introduced the new trailer for Metal Gear: Rising trailer. Things didn’t go smoothly. At all.
I’m a fan of Metal Gear Solid. A big fan. I’m also a fan of stealth as a genre but, in an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, Kojima is claiming that Metal Gear Rising is not the kind of Metal Gear game fans are used to, and it’s a departure that some may struggle with.
This past August, I asked a very simple question: Where the hell is Metal Gear: Rising? It’s now mid-November, and the game surfaced briefly, with a teaser trailer hinting at some sort of Rising announcement at the Spike VGAs.
Remember when Hideo Kojima said Metal Gear Solid 4 was the last MGS he was designing and he was handing off the series so he could presumably work on new and different titles?

Hideo Kojima has just popped up at Microsoft’s keynote, and announced that the Metal Gear Solid franchise is coming to Xbox 360 with an all-new title.
