And it’s… oh dear. Up top, a pair of Nintendo 3DS units, below, a PlayStation Vita. Sony’s browser lets you access Nintendo’s online version of the Miiverse. Nintendo’s own does not.

Nintendo Puts The Miiverse On The Web

Nintendo has created a web-accessible version of the Miiverse, the Nintendo social network. The Miiverse was previously only accessible from the Wii U, but now you can now browse posts about your favourite games and maintain your profile from the comfort of your own PC or mobile device.

Check Out This Awesome Earthbound MiiVerse Fan Art

This past week saw the release in Japan of Earthbound(Mother 2) on the Wii U’s virtual console. To celebrate, Nintendo released a special episode of Retro Game Master (GameCenter CX) and even did a three-and-a-half hour playthrough of the game with Itoi, the game’s writer and director. The one other big thing they did was add Mother 2 to the MiiVerse.

This Sunday, I spent about an hour delving through the past 24 hours of messages on the Mother 2 MiiVerse page that went live last week as part of the Mother 2 (Earthbound) re-release on the Japanese Wii U virtual console. What surprised me as I looked through the message board was the amount of messages in English I came across.
