A slew of multiplayer tweaks will take effect in Modern Warfare 3 via an update to the game tonight, according to Infinity Ward. They include nerfing the Type 95 and fixing Dome map exploits. Read the full change list.
Call of Duty: Zombies was a hit on the iPhone, a simplified port of the popular “Nazi Zombies” game from Call of Duty: World at War — players fight to defend a building from increasingly difficult waves of advancing undead. It was a fairly humble iOS first-person shooter, but it had a strong brand behind it, was fun, featured halfway decent FPS touch controls, and even gave players the ability to team up online with up to three friends.
Confessed mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik was legally insane when he killed nearly 80 people, many children, during a bombing and shooting rampage in Norway in July, according to a psychiatric evaluation ordered by the court, the Associated Press reports.
Grain-of-salt territory here, but rumours have it that Modern Warfare 3‘s first set of premium downloadable content will feature five maps entitled “Morning Wood,” “Concrete,” “Park,” “Italy,” and “Overwatch.” The title of the first, and the fact “Overwatch” was a map in Modern Warfare 2, calls for some healthy scepticism. Modern Prestige has what it says are screenshots showing the names of the five maps in question. [h/t Dan Borenstein]
This is as close to an official LEGO interpretation of Activision’s tentpole franchise. Honestly, it looked pretty believable until they blew up the LEGO Eiffel Tower. There’s no way that would happen in real LEGO life.
People have been landing insanely improbable kills in Call of Duty for years now, but of all the videos I have seen, this one is the craziest. The knife literally banks of a helicopter, then falls onto the soldier underneath it.
Last night we were sent the clip of the insane bank-shot knife kill you see above, courtesy of the unwitting victim felled by it.
Dead End Thrills, a great site for your downtime/wallpaper needs, is a bit of a favourite of mine. And for good reason.
It’s the height of the fall rush, and more and more games rain down upon us every day. And with so many games, whoever will tell us which of them contains objectionable content? The Entertainment Software Rating Board, that’s who!
As we gear up to dive into Modern Warfare 3 (Top question: will you be more of a Jonah Hill or a Sam Worthington?), it’s fun to pause for a minute and take a look back.
