If MonkeyPaw Games raises $US500,000, they’ll know that gamers still love JRPGs. The publisher, previously responsible for bringing Japanese role-playing games like Alundra and Vanguard Bandits to the PlayStation Network, is launching a Kickstarter campaign to prove that the beloved genre ain’t dead yet.
BurgerTime World Tour, the high-definition remake of the 1980s food preparation platformer, will arrive November 2 on Xbox Live, “affordably priced” at 800 Microsoft Points, according to a news release by MonkeyPaw Games. In addition to retooled singleplayer action the game will feature a multiplayer mode, seen above in a trailer released today.

A press release from MonkeyPaw Games indicates that Imports on the PlayStation Store is starting up on the PlayStation Network next week, with shooters Cho Aniki and GaiaSeed acting as launch titles for the new service.
