People often complain that there’s an overabundance of zombie-based video games, or that zombies are the new bacon, overindulged in to the point of nausea. Judging by pieces like Deviant artist Dantemustdie00′s “Sonic Zombies”, perhaps we’re just injecting the undead into the wrong titles.
YouTube user rickonami has done a wonderful thing. He’s remade the intro to Star Fox on the SNES, only now it’s in fancy HD, and includes some nods to the N64 game.

Not that it wasn’t before. Since its launch in 2009, the crowdfunding website has evolved into an extremely effective financing tool for business ventures, creative projects, and auteurs of all kinds. It has facilitated the relationship between creators and their fans, both giving us access to the people who make things we love and allowing more people to make things we love.
Kotaku reader Riccardo whipped up this HD version of Mother‘s opening credits. It, like the game itself, is fantastic. If anything should get you excited about an HD Nintendo gaming system, it’s this.
