<p>The main focus this year at the NECA booth seems to have been Street Fighter IV and Gears of War, the two great tastes that sounds great together when said out loud. We&#8217;ve seen many of the figures already, but a few are new. I&#8217;m really digging their take on urban vinyl for the two properties, and I definitely need a Crimson Viper figure so I can profess my love for her in person.</p>
<p>Thank goodness I didn&#8217;t say that out loud.</p>

<p>I find it nice that they are creating props as well, with the full-sized ADAM extractor finally bringing kids something to help them learn about he joys of&#8230; I really cannot think of anything joyful here, though if you look closely you&#8217;ll spot mine and McWhertor&#8217;s shoes, which I suppose is kind of fun.</p>

<p>Due to be officially unveiled at Comic-Con, there&#8217;s currently a few figures scheduled: a Big Sister, a Little Sister, a Splicer and a few variants of the Big Daddy. Those waiting for an Andrew Ryan&#8217;s Office playset, complete with swinging golf club action, will have to wait.</p>

Different, yes, and it&#8217;s taken a little while to get used to, but when you see it moving, it looks pretty great. These Street Fighter IV figures from NECA, though&#8230;show that maybe the character&#8217;s plastic representations shouldn&#8217;t have been made so literal. Especially since Ken looks a little <em>slow</em>, and Ryu looks like a monkey taking a crap. Pics are at the link below (don&#8217;t worry, there&#8217;ll be plenty more than just the three so far spotted).</p>

<p>Next up is a set of Gears of War 2 <strike>dolls</strike> action figures we first saw some <a href="http://www.kotaku.com.au/games/2008/06/necas_gears_of_war_series_2-2.html">advance shots</a> of in June. There is a new Marcus Fenix figurine, an even &#8216;orribler looking <strike>Locust</strike> Theron Guard and two more of Marcus&#8217; chums from Delta Squad.</p>
<p>As usual, the models are absurdly detailed, not that the people who will buy them will ever take them out of the packaging to find this out. Honestly, NECA could really save on manufacturing costs by only modelling the front bits. The savings on plastic alone could treble their 3rd quarter operating costs.</p>

Looks even more detailed than their Gears figures, which is saying something. No official details on it yet, but you can pass the time between now and the time you find out how much it costs by admiring the craftsmanship on those <strike>hot dogs</strike> wonderfully redesigned hydraulic arm cables.</p>
