Nintendo Eyes User Generated Content, Says 'Entertainment Is A Two-Way Street'

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime spoke at today's BMO Capital Markets Interactive Entertainment Conference, starting his presentation with a look at the landscape of the five most popular web sites in 1996. Fils-Aime pointed out that each was a search engine, "gathered and controlled by someone else."

Nintendo Reveals New DSi WarioWare, Art Style Games

At a financial briefing in Japan today, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata walked investors and analysts through a series of slides, slides featuring charts, that highlight the company's success on the Nintendo DS and Wii platforms. While most of it was nap-inducing corporate gloating via PowerPoint, Iwata provided new details on upcoming WiiWare and DSi Ware titles, including new games in the Art Style line and four (mostly) new WarioWare releases.

Regularly priced at 18,900 yen (about $339 Aussie bucks) in its home country of Japan, the DSi asking price from reputable import retailers like Play-Asia and YesAsia is currently $499.

New Crash Bandicoot Mind Over Mutant Trailer

It's been a long time since I've put my hands on a Crash game and honestly, the most entertaining run in with him I've had recent years was watching him get trampled by a mad horde of fans rushing into GC back in August. I'm not saying Mind Over Mutant will be a bad game, I'm just skeptical. New Cold Beats Skate It Trailer

There's plenty of rail grinding, skateboarding trick action in this new Skate It trailer. Yeah, it won't have the graphics of Skate or Skate 2, but the control scheme still kind of intrigues me. If nothing else, Skate It seems like it's surely worth a try. Look for it on store shelves November 17th for Wii and DS.
