Vooks has the first photographed receipt of Ocarina of Time, meaning that EB has officially broken the Street Date for the game, selling it before its official release next Thursday. We expect other retailers to start selling the game soon.
This morning has been… interesting to say the least. There is no doubt that if you walk into an EB game store today, and they have stock, they will sell you a copy of Zelda: Ocarina of Time if you directly ask for it. I’ve spoken to a few EB stores this morning, and the responses have been hilarious.
Vooks has just gotten word that EB is set to begin selling official Australian copies of Ocarina of Time early, in response to Gametraders selling grey imported copies of the game a week early. The question is – do they have Nintendo’s permission?
Just to clarify, this is not an official street date break but, as reported by Vooks, Gametraders is selling EU, imported versions of Ocarina of Time in their stores, a week ahead of the game’s official release date in Australia.
Mario Galaxy’s orchestra soundtrack really proved the impact a gorgeous, sweeping soundtrack could have on our gaming experiences – so I’m really thankful that the upcoming Zelda will feature an Orchestrated soundtrack. But what if you can’t wait until Skyward Sword comes out? What if you want sweet luscious Zelda music now?
This is almost as good as the commentary track on the Goonies DVD, when they got all of the original Goonies back as adults. Amazing! Satoru Iwata, in the latest Iwata Asks, managed to get a group of the original core Ocarina of Time design team to talk about the game’s development. Nostalgia – ACTIVATE!
When Ocarina of Time came out in 1998, I was 17 years old. And really stupid. I genuinely would never have known there was such a thing as an ‘Ocarina’ if it wasn’t for that game. I often wondered if sales of Ocarinas skyrocketed as a result of the game’s release. Now that the remake is about to be released overseas, St Louis Ocarina, who make and sell the instruments, are attempting to highlight the buzz to raise awareness of the humble Ocarina. Ocarinas are real, dammit!
Yep, I’ve just spent ten minutes watch someone else play a video game on youtube. A video that was in German, of a game I have already completed multiple times. What the hell is wrong with me?
