Pac-Man and Galaga both get served three ways in the upcoming Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS. Two of those games are brand-new and unique to the 3DS, Pac-Man Tilt and Galaga 3D Impact, and this new Japanese trailer explains how they work.
The not-so-hot-looking Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS is more than originally meets the eye. The 3D game will also include versions of Pac-Man Championship Edition, Galaga Legions as well as the original Pac-Man and Galaga, both tweaked with stereoscopic visual tricks. [Andriasang]

What is Pac-Man Battle Royale? This week’s Amusement Expo in Vegas explains it all with a playable four-player Pac-Man face off that borrows from both Pac-Man Championship Edition and Super Pac-Man to interesting results.
Microsoft and Namco Bandai are hoping that the future-retro success of the critically acclaimed Pac-Man Championship Edition can be repeated in another arcade classic, Galaga. It’s pretty simple stuff on the surface. Move your ship anywhere on the screen with the left analogue stick. With the right stick, you can place your ship’s two satellite guns. These two guns can be dropped anywhere on the fly, with a quick tap in the direction you want the guns to autofire.
Your ship will autofire by default too, but you can choose to call your own shots with the right trigger. The point? Higher scoring bonuses. The whole mechanic makes a lot of sense and you’ll need equal parts strategy, quick reflexes and pattern recognition to make it through all five areas.
