PAL PlayStation Store Update: WipeOut Unleashed

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 10:30 PM on December 26, 2008

Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean the PlayStation Store goes quiet, and while this week's PAL store update will probably be remembered most for the appearance of the MGS LBP stuff, there's plenty more on offer.

PAL PlayStation Store Update

No Home for me this week, as it's still not working. That's bad enough news as it is, but it's worse when there's nothing else on the PSN to keep me busy for the day.

PAL PlayStation Store Update

Sexy Soul Calibur wallpaper? Please. The PAL store is a place for those with refined tastes. Sure, the SC wallpapers are there, for the crass, but who could overlook four wallpapers featuring the burly, bloodthirsty men of Far Cry 2? Well?

Happy days, PAL users. Happy days. Not only do you get Age of Booty, and the surprisingly enjoyable GTI Club + demo, and the Syndicate Wars re-release, but you get LocoRoco 2.

PAL PlayStation Store Update

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 8:00 PM on November 21, 2008

Let's see, let's see, what's in the PAL store today...hrm, not much, unless you're a big spender on Rock Band/GH tunes. If you are, GREAT, if not, there's the offensively-priced Need for Speed content, some LittleBigPlanet costume stuff and...oh! There's a LocoRoco 2 demo. Neat. Oh! And the PS1 version of SimCity 2000. Also neat. So not all bad, then.

PAL PlayStation Store Update

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 7:30 PM on November 7, 2008

No whining about a lack of content this week. Mainly because there are four demos are now available for PAL users to download. Four. And they're mostly good ones to boot, including Mirror's Edge, Endwar and the better-late-than-never Metal Gear Solid 4. Which is nice, really, and free, but the highlight for the week doesn't actually come in the form of free, high definition sample offerings. It comes in the form of Bullfrog's classic Theme Park.

PAL PlayStation Store Update

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 6:30 PM on October 24, 2008

I don't mean to alarm you, PAL users, but if you turn on your PS3s and head to the PlayStation Store, you'll notice something. Content. New content. Games, demos, music, even Rock Band content. I know, it's a shock, but if you start at Prince of Persia Classic and work your way down from there, one item at a time, taking it nice and easy, you should be OK.

PAL PlayStation Store Update

Posted by Luke Plunkett at 7:30 PM on September 5, 2008

Slow week this week. Nothing wrong on the parity side of things, as most things the US store got the PAL one's got, it's just a slow week, that's all. Can't imagine millions of you clamouring for some new Haze maps, though with ice hockey a sort-of-big-deal in certain parts of Europe, the NHL 2K9 demo might go down a little better.
