Did you go see The Avengers opening night? Pikachu did. Pikachu is a hardcore fan, didn’t you know? I mean, did you dress up as four of the Avengers, all at once? I didn’t think so.
Kittens are cute. They yowl and meow, they wander around and fall off of things and are tiny and fun to pet. Sometimes though, they are yellow, and weird, and they talk. When they talk, they say things like “Pik-a-chu!”
Poor Pikachu! If it’s not inflatable Pikachus that are totally inappropriate, it’s stuff like this.
Back in 1998, Pokémon was the shiz-nittle-bam-snip-snap-sack. Much like Ninja Turtles the decade before, Pokémon was the children’s franchise. Even people who didn’t watch the show could instantly recognise its mascot, Pikachu. It was during this time that Nintendo and Game Freak decided to release a giga-pet based on owning an actual Pokémon. And thus the Pokémon Pocket Pikachu was born.

It was about three months ago that sixty-three year-old Toshinobu Takamoto noticed two bumps attached to a Japanese persimmon growing in his yard.
In Japan, all sorts of Pokémon products exist. There are Pokémon bedsheets, Pokémon toothbrushes, Pokémon noodles — you name it!
