In the wake of the March 11 earthquake in Japan, Grasshopper Manufacture’s Akira Yamaoka put together a charity album. That album is now available in selected territories on iTunes.
Play For Japan initiative has done a lot to help raise funds for those affected by last month’s earthquake and tsunami, but Play For Japan: The Album will be giving a lot back to you in return.
With the earthquake and the resulting Tsunami, Japan is currently in dire need of aid – Play For Japan is a website that helps direct you to legitimate avenues in order to donate and help out Japan in its time of need. It’s also linking to some awesome game related charity auctions on eBay – a Super Mario Kart signed by Miyamoto, an Eddie Riggs statue signed by Tim Schafer, the list goes on. I’m about to mortgage my house for a copy of Killer 7 signed by Suda 51.
