PSPgo Not Dead In North America

Yesterday, Sony Japan said that the PSPgo, the disc-free variation of the PlayStation Portable was no longer in production. Dead. Done. Put to rest. Well, not in America. Clarifying news that broke on IGN, a Sony spokesperson in the U.S. told Kotaku today: “We are continuing production of PSPgo for North America. We will also continue to support the PSP-3000 platform.”

It’s Official, The PSPgo Is Dead

Today Sony Computer Entertainment confirmed yesterday’s rumour that its digital-only portable the PSPgo was going out of production.

According to what’s supposedly a Sony Store employee blog, no more PSPgo shipments are planned and the portable is apparently out of production. Over on the official Japanese Sony Style page, it is not in stock and shipments are TBA.
