I played through a sizable chunk of Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice over the past week or so, and I was surprised to find that I sorta liked it. I was surprised because I loathed the first game, it seemed too button mashy for me and I didn’t feel like all the button slapping resulted in a big enough pay-off to make it worthwhile.
Extreme Justice still has you slogging away at the buttons, but they’ve mixed up the missions enough to make it seem worthwhile, at least, a bit for me.
Pursuit Force Extreme Justice hits tomorrow. What I played of the demo I quite liked, which is surprising because I hated the original game. My early copy, which arrived at my door today, came with this Pimp Glass, sunglasses and fingerless gloves. Hold on there guys, you’re mixing your seventies references and it’s about to blow my mind. Either throw in a pimp stick and robe or make with the fake Magnum stache.
The original Pursuit Force just didn’t do it for me, so I’m not holding my breath for the sequel. It does look like they’ve built a little more substance into the gameplay, but I’m holding off on changing my expectations until I play it.
