Record of Agarest War, released in 2007, is a PS3 breeding RPG. And breeding means doing it — and what did that mean?
“Soul Breed” strategy/embarrassing food eating RPG Record of Agarest War first hit the PS3 last fall. Now, it’s got the inevitable Xbox 360 version. There are differences, it seems, big differences.
Tears to Tiara is one saucy PS3 title. Not nearly as saucy as “Soul Breed” strategy/embarrassing food eating RPG Record of Agarest War, but hey, few things are. “Adventure + simulation” fantasy sword-swinging RPG Tears To Tiara features 2D cutscenes — not a big deal! But one of which apparently has a boob grabbing tentacle. Yep, tears indeed.
The game goes on sale July 17th in Japan. Click through the gallery below.

Japan-based, PS3-owning, Kotaku-reading humans rejoice! Some new content has popped up on the Japanese PlayStation Network, including a demo of the “soul breeding” Record of Agarest War. Definitely going to check it out tonight. Hopefully, it looks better than the cruddy clip we posted recently.
Thanks iamhitori for the tip!
So saucy! Japanese developers Idea Factory and RED bring us Record of Agarest War. It may look like a strategy RPG (it is), but there’s so much more. You can breed! And breeding means doing it — and what does that mean? Probably not that much. Anyway, the game has a “Soul Breed” system in which players must capture the heart of the game’s heroines so that they can create their successor. When this happens, there is a “special” movie that’s show, and afterwards the new successor is revealed. His stats are even based on the heroine you select for breeding. Hooray for in-game DNA!
